Make a Difference Today

At Georgia Akita Rescue Division, working together with reputable and ethical Akita breed specific rescues across the country for the well-being of our beloved breed is our main goal. Our programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps community members reach their goals with their Akitas- by helping provide resources to keep dogs in their homes, foster mentorship, as well as ethical and responsible adoptions for orphan Akitas in Georgia.  Learn more about the positive impact we have and join us in bringing about positive change.

Please note that we are a small volunteer based organization, so phone calls will returned at our earliest convenience.  Email is always preferred!

We are also unable to accept dogs into our program from individuals as our mission is to help reduce the numbers of Akitas dying in shelters.  We can help with courtesy networking should our Board determine that your dog is able to be rehomed.

        Welcome!

Georgia Akita Rescue Division's mission to assist in the placement, rescue and rehabilitation of Akitas within in the state of Georgia.  When space allows, we will occasionally be able to assist in assisting Akitas from surrounding states.  GARD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity, so donations are essential to our process!  Please browse the website, and feel free to email with any questions or suggestions!
